Prehistoric weekends

You'll be offered a revival of daily life in a 10,000 year-old secular holm-oak wood, a natural environment that recalls ancestral feelings and links with the Earth. You'll try to make stone arrow points and axes, needles and bone tools, you'll learn to light a fire with flints, to recognize useful plants and animal trails, and to use prehistoric bows and propeller. But mostly we'll do our best to give you a taste of atavistic human emotions dating back to a time when men lived in harmony with nature.

Our prehistoric weekend includes:

Saturday

•  9.00 am Departure from Cagliari

•  10.30 am Naturalistic excursion to discover the surroundings

•  1.00 pm Snack ( pani e casu e binu a rasu -  Sardinian saying that means “Bread and cheese and glass full of wine”)

•  2.00 pm Prehistoric techniques Laboratory (obsidian chipping, bone, horn and hides working, fire lighting; hunting camp: bow and propeller training)

•  8.00 pm Primitive dinner around the fire with tribal music and dances (meal includes roasted meat and wild herbs)

•  Overnight in a hut (straw mats and hide blankets available, sleeping bag recommended). Pitching own tent available for those who don't want to share huts with other participants.

Sunday

•  8.00 am Breakfast ( joddu – Sardinian yoghurt - or goat milk with bread and honey); Naturalistic excursion in search of staples to make prehistoric tools;

•  1:00 pm Lunch at a cozy farm holiday center with delicious home cuisine… just to make the return to civilization less traumatic (optional)

•  Afternoon according to participants' request
